Li Peiling files domestic violence complaint against ex-husband

Taiwanese actress Li Peiling has announced she is taking legal action against her ex-husband following allegations of domestic violence. The incident reportedly occurred on the 21st during a physical altercation inside a vehicle, witnessed by family members. Li, who recently ended an 18-year marriage due to financial issues and lifestyle differences, stated that the assault left her with facial pain and bruising on her arms.

According to her lawyer, Lin Qiongjia, this is not an isolated incident. Li had previously sought help in July after an alleged choking incident but chose not to report it at the time to maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship. However, she has decided to pursue formal charges now as the violence has reportedly escalated.

Li's management and FTV have responded to the news. Her agency noted the significant psychological pressure of balancing professional work with personal crises, while FTV expressed regret over the situation and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy toward violence.
