Li Sichuan proposes MRT expansion and AI industry corridor for New Taipei City

Kuomintang New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Sichuan has proposed several major infrastructure and industrial development plans during campaign events in Sanchong, Linkou, and Bali.

Key proposals include the ‘Dahan Creek MRT Longitudinal Line,’ which aims to connect Sanchong, the New Taipei Second Administrative Center, Xinzhuang, and several industrial and residential zones. To alleviate traffic, Li also suggested constructing the Lüshe Bridge. In the industrial sector, he proposed creating an ‘AI Technology Industry Corridor’ to boost local employment and economic growth.

In Linkou, Li discussed enhancing connectivity between Tamsui, Bali, and Linkou through light rail construction and potential integration with the Taoyuan MRT system. For the Bali district, his platform includes the development of a light rail system, the relocation of Bali Junior High School, and the construction of a national sports center to improve local education and living standards.
