Li Yongle: Physics prodigy chooses teaching over finance

Li Yongle, a Chinese physics prodigy with degrees from both Peking University and Tsinghua University, has chosen a career as a high school physics teacher in Beijing rather than pursuing high-paying roles in finance or the internet sector.

Despite his academic excellence, Li has noted that he lacks basic life skills and communication abilities. He attributed this to his upbringing, where his parents managed nearly all his daily needs, such as cooking and cleaning, to allow him to focus entirely on his studies. After completing his master's degree in 2009, he opted for a stable and simple professional environment due to his self-perceived difficulties with social interaction.
