Li Ziqi to transition from rural videos to filmmaking

Chinese YouTuber Li Ziqi is reportedly transitioning from her signature rural lifestyle and traditional craft videos toward the film industry. Public information indicates that a film project titled ‘Wen Thất’ (translated as ‘Greenhouse’), which Li Ziqi has written, has been approved for filming.

The story follows a protagonist named Li Thai Duong, who builds a greenhouse for a relative with respiratory issues while undergoing a personal journey of healing and finding meaning in life. While the project was previously described as a documentary in early 2026, its shift to a feature film suggests a change in creative direction.

Li Ziqi has maintained a lower profile in recent years, having previously paused content production due to corporate disputes in 2021. Despite the lack of regular video updates, her public appearances at intangible heritage promotion events in late September 2026 continue to draw significant attention from the online community.
