Liam Davies retains EBU European featherweight title

Liam Davies retained his EBU European featherweight title with a dominant performance against Nathaniel Collins at the bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham. Davies controlled the bout using his reach and fast combinations, dropping Collins in the first round. The fight was stopped at the end of the seventh round after Collins’ corner conceded the match.

Following the victory, discussions have emerged regarding Davies' next steps. While he is seeking a major title shot, some analysts suggest a rematch with Shabaz Masoud could serve as a high-stakes IBF title eliminator to accelerate his path to a championship bout.
