Liam Gallagher criticizes Fontaines D.C. regarding Oasis tour
Liam Gallagher has reignited a dispute with the Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. following questions regarding the Oasis ‘Live ’27’ reunion tour. When asked on social media why the Dublin-based group was not selected as an opening act, Gallagher responded, “They are not good enough, they don't have any tunes.”
The tension dates back to 2024, when Fontaines D.C. members Carlos O’Connell and Conor Deegan III expressed indifference toward the Oasis reunion. Gallagher responded to those comments at the time with disparaging remarks about the band's appearance. However, Fontaines D.C. vocalist Grian Chatten previously attempted to distance himself from those statements, publicly declaring, “I love Oasis. This is not my opinion.”
While Fontaines D.C. has not issued a recent response to Gallagher's latest comments, the band recently released their album ‘Dopamine Chamber’. Meanwhile, Oasis continues preparations for their 2027 tour, which includes 42 shows across Manchester, Glasgow, Ireland, Europe, and the United States. Richard Ashcroft is currently the only confirmed support act for all dates.
