Liam Gallagher rejects Fontaines D.C. as Oasis tour openers
Liam Gallagher has dismissed the Irish band Fontaines D.C. as potential opening acts for the upcoming Oasis Live ’27 tour. Responding to a fan on social media, Gallagher stated, “They are not good enough, they don’t have any tunes.”
This exchange reignites a tension that began in 2024 following the announcement of the Oasis reunion. At that time, Fontaines D.C. members expressed skepticism regarding the reunion, with bassist Conor Deegan III criticizing the music industry's reliance on nostalgia. Gallagher previously responded to those comments by mocking the band's appearance.
Fontaines D.C. vocalist Grian Chatten has attempted to distance himself from the conflict, stating on Instagram, “I love Oasis. This is not my opinion.” Currently, Richard Ashcroft is the only artist confirmed to open the 42-date tour, which has already sold out.
