Liam Lawson awaits decision on Racing Bulls seat

Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson is awaiting confirmation regarding his seat at Racing Bulls for the 2027 season. Despite a strong season where he currently sits ninth in the championship standings with 59 points, Red Bull has yet to provide official word on his status or that of teammate Arvid Lindblad.

Lawson expressed frustration following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where a collision during a safety car restart involving Lindblad ended his race. Lawson noted his confusion that Lindblad did not receive a penalty for the incident, stating, “I have absolutely no idea how it wasn't a penalty.” While Lawson is focused on scoring points and moving forward, he expects a decision regarding his future to be made within the coming weeks.
