Liam Lawson finishes 14th at Italian GP after collision
Liam Lawson finished 14th at the Italian Grand Prix after a collision with Nico Hülkenberg during a restart. Lawson, driving for Red Bull, had started from the pit lane due to a rear wing change and had initially made progress through the field.
Following a restart, Lawson made contact with the Audi F1 driver, Hülkenberg, which damaged Lawson's front wing. The incident forced Lawson to pit for repairs, costing him approximately 30 seconds and erasing his earlier gains. Lawson noted that the timing was particularly difficult as other drivers were able to change tires during a red flag period, leaving him with a strategic disadvantage that made recovering his position impossible.
