Liam Lawson reports cockpit alarm malfunction at United States Grand Prix

Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson experienced a distracting cockpit alarm malfunction during the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. Lawson reported that during a Virtual Safety Car (VSC) period, an alarm designed to warn drivers if they are exceeding the permitted speed delta became stuck in the 'on' position.

The persistent noise led Lawson to believe he was violating racing regulations, causing him to slow down significantly. Upon checking his dashboard, he discovered he was approximately six seconds within the required limit. Lawson suggested the issue might be a software bug affecting multiple drivers.

Despite the distraction, Lawson finished ninth, marking his 13th points haul of the season. He expressed satisfaction with his performance and the car's upgrades heading into the upcoming Mexico City Grand Prix.
