Liam Lawson targets consistent scoring in 2026 F1 season
Liam Lawson has demonstrated a significant resurgence in the 2026 Formula 1 season driving for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls. After a difficult 2025 campaign that saw him dropped by Red Bull Racing early in the season, the New Zealander has secured points in eight of the first eleven Grands Prix, including sixth-place finishes in Monaco and Silverstone.
Lawson attributes this improved consistency to enhanced preparation, accumulated experience, and a more disciplined personal routine. He noted that reduced travel during the European leg of the season allowed him to focus on personal conditioning and more effective strategic discussions with his team.
Regarding the second half of the season, Lawson stated his primary objective is to maximize performance from the car and score points as frequently as possible. "My personal goal is simply to score points as often as possible and extract every bit of performance from the car," he said. He remains pragmatic about his final standing, noting the difficulty of setting specific championship expectations while competing in the midfield.
