Liam Lawson to replace Isack Hadjar at Spanish Grand Prix

Red Bull Racing has confirmed that Liam Lawson will replace Isack Hadjar for the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. This marks the third consecutive race that Lawson will step in for Hadjar, who is still recovering from a wrist fracture sustained during a boxing training session over the summer break.

While the team noted that Hadjar’s recovery is progressing positively, he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit. Hadjar will still attend the event in Madrid to support the team. Lawson will partner with Max Verstappen at Red Bull, while Yuki Tsunoda will move to the Racing Bulls seat to replace Lawson.

The Spanish Grand Prix will take place at the new Madring street circuit. Lawson expressed confidence heading into the debut, noting that while he has only used the simulator, the unique banked corners will make for an interesting weekend.
