Liam Lawson's points streak ends after energy woes at Belgian Grand Prix

New Zealand driver Liam Lawson failed to score points at the Belgian Grand Prix, ending a five‑race points streak with a 12th‑place finish. Lawson blamed the Racing Bulls team's battery deployment and energy‑management strategy, saying the car was "way too slow all race" and that they struggled to conserve power through Eau Rouge and Turn 5, causing other cars to overtake him unintentionally.

Team teammate Arvid Lindblad finished sixth, delivering the only points for Racing Bulls and keeping the team level with Alpine at 61 points in the constructors' championship. Lindblad’s upgraded VCARB 03 package helped him secure a consecutive points finish while Lawson dealt with power‑unit concerns and multiple on‑track contacts.

Lawson described the race as a long, difficult day, noting that after the pit stop the car lost significant time and that the team’s attempts to optimise the power unit were ineffective on the demanding Spa‑Francorchamps circuit.
