Liam Rosenior sparks brawl after Paris FC victory over Strasbourg

Paris FC manager Liam Rosenior sparked an on-pitch brawl following his team’s 2-1 Ligue 1 victory over his former club, Strasbourg, at Stade Jean-Bouin. After the final whistle, Rosenior approached the away supporters and engaged in provocative gestures, including beating his chest and waving his arms.

The confrontation escalated into a physical scuffle involving players and staff from both sides, requiring security intervention to prevent further aggression. Strasbourg players reportedly confronted Rosenior to demand he stop his celebrations.

In post-match comments, Rosenior explained that his actions were a response to insults directed at his family by a small group of Strasbourg supporters during the match. He stated, “I want to make it clear, only a small part. Strasbourg is an amazing football club... My way of celebrating was a message to a group of people who never wanted me to have success at that club.”

Rosenior previously managed Strasbourg before leaving mid-season to join Chelsea, a move that caused significant tension with the Strasbourg fanbase. Despite the incident, Paris FC remains in strong form, sitting third in the league standings.
