Liane Moriarty releases ‘Big Little Truths’ sequel to tease ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 3

Author Liane Moriarty has released ‘Big Little Truths’, the first sequel to her novel ‘Big Little Lies’. The book, published on August 25, serves as the narrative foundation for a potential third season of the HBO series.

Set ten years after the original story, the novel follows the lives of Madeline, Celeste, Jane, Bonnie, and Renata as their children enter high school. The plot involves a new mystery centered around a school event referred to as ‘D-Day’, where a presentation by Jane’s son, Ziggy, exposes a teacher named Melody and her husband, Seth Montclair, for predatory behavior.

While the book provides significant spoilers for the future of the franchise, HBO has not yet officially ordered a third season or announced a production date. Reports suggest that scheduling conflicts among the lead cast—including Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, and Laura Dern—could delay filming until as late as 2028.
