Liberal Party leaders meet in Brasília to align support for Flávio Bolsonaro

Leaders of the Liberal Party (PL) met in Brasília to coordinate strategies for the second round of the presidential election, centered on the candidacy of Flávio Bolsonaro. The meeting included re-elected Santa Catarina Governor Jorginho Mello and several newly elected officials from the state, such as Senator Carol De Toni and Senator Carlos Bolsonaro.

In Santa Catarina, newly elected representatives are working to expand the party's influence. State Deputy Ana Campagnolo, one of the state's most voted candidates, stated that she, Carol De Toni, and Júlia Zanatta represent the party's primary authorities in the region. Campagnolo expressed a goal to increase the party's presence by electing PL councilors in every municipality.

Regarding future legislative leadership, Senator-elect Carol De Toni announced she would vote against any PL agreement to maintain Davi Alcolumbre as President of the Senate in 2027. She suggested the party should nominate Rogério Marinho for the position or consider her own candidacy if no other candidate is presented.
