Liberal Party of Australia launches reform commission as crisis deepens

The Liberal Party of Australia is confronting an existential crisis after a period of poor electoral performance and leadership uncertainty. New leader Angus Taylor told reporters in February 2026 that the party must "change or die" and announced a commission to develop an organisational reform agenda.
