Liberals demand urgent renovation of Lund sports facilities

Politicians from the Liberal party in Lund are calling for urgent investments to renovate the Romelevallen sports facility in Veberöd and Ekevallen in Genarp. They argue that the current state of these facilities has deteriorated significantly, noting issues such as mold, poor drainage, and dilapidated changing rooms consisting of old barracks.

The party is proposing a more aggressive timeline and budget than the municipality's current plan, which schedules renovations for 2029 with a budget of one million SEK. Instead, the Liberals suggest that major improvements, including new stands and changing facilities, could cost between 15 and 25 million SEK and should be prioritized much sooner to prevent further decay.
