Liberec hosts Crystal Valley Week glass and jewelry festival

The fifth annual Crystal Valley Week festival is taking place in Liberec, Czech Republic, running through August 29, 2026. As the largest showcase of glass, jewelry, and costume jewelry in the country, the event features over 100 artists, designers, and glassworks across 36 different locations.

The program includes more than 80 activities, such as exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, and multimedia fashion shows. Under the theme ‘Connecting Cultures,’ the festival highlights the global influence of Czech glass, specifically the traditional glass bead which is used in various cultures worldwide.

A notable highlight is the participation of the Panará, an indigenous tribe from the Brazilian Amazon. The Panará are visiting to demonstrate traditional jewelry-making techniques that incorporate Czech glass beads. Their presence includes appearances at the Dr. E. Beneš square and participation in a multimedia fashion show.
