Liberec Region Launches 24‑Hour Self‑Service Store
The Liberec Region opened a self‑service shop in the ground floor of the D building of the regional office, operating nonstop. Customers enter using the StoreUP mobile app or a regional customer card, select from about thirty local producers, and pay at a card‑only checkout. The store is monitored, with an intercom for assistance, and a central‑protection service oversees operations. The initiative, presented by Petr Dobrovský of the Agency for Regional Development, aims to promote regional products under the "Liberec Region" brand.
Separately, the Zákup flea markets in the Liberec area attracted hundreds of visitors seeking antiques, porcelain, collectibles and food. Held on a parking lot beneath the state castle in Zákupy, the markets offered items such as vintage brooches, pottery and vinyl records, alongside refreshments like langoš and local drinks. The next sessions are scheduled for 4‑5 September, with a 50‑koruna entry fee for adults and free admission for children under 12.
