Liberi sulla Carta fair celebrates independent publishing in Rome

The 15th edition of Liberi sulla Carta, a fair dedicated to independent and small-to-medium publishing, took place from September 11 to 13 at Borghetto San Carlo in La Giustiniana, Rome. Directed by journalist and writer Fabrizio Moscato, the event focused on the theme #tifastarebene, emphasizing the well-being derived from social interaction and communicative exchange.

The fair featured a diverse program including workshops by the Omero Creative Writing School, sensory reading for children, literary walks in Veio Park, and yoga sessions. It served as a platform for small independent publishers and young authors to gain visibility.

Among the participants was Capitolo Primo, a project co-founded by Valentina Orrù designed to support debut authors. The initiative provides a protected space for writers to receive reader feedback, with high-rated texts being presented to collaborating publishing houses. The project aims to eventually evolve into a literary agency and seeks to act as a technical partner for editorial entities hosting literary competitions.
