Liberia Agricultural Company expands school transport and logistics

The Liberia Agricultural Company (LAC) has commissioned two new school buses and a heavy-duty TATA truck to enhance educational and operational services at its plantation in Grand Bassa County.

LAC operates 11 schools serving approximately 7,750 students, including employees’ dependents and students from 46 surrounding communities. The new buses are intended to reduce walking time for students, improve reliability, and allow for more study time. The company also provides adult education and literacy programs.

In addition to the school transport expansion, the company commissioned a heavy-duty truck for rubber collection, extraction, and logistical operations. General Manager Naveen Madan stated that these investments are part of a broader effort to improve services across the plantation.
