Liberia names 15-man squad for 2026 Amputee World Cup

Liberia’s men’s amputee national team coach, Victor P. H. B. Benson, has announced the final 15-man squad for the 2026 Amputee World Cup. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 13 to 22 in San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico.

The roster includes four foreign-based players—captain Matthew Joe (Pendik, Turkey), Delvin M. Jusu (Konya), Darlington Vangalove Sebeh (Bursa), and Morilai R. Boakai (Konya)—alongside 11 players based domestically in Liberia representing clubs such as LASA, Survival, and Conquerors.

Liberia qualified for the 24-nation event after a top-six finish at the African Amputee Football Cup. The team has been drawn into Group A, where they will compete against the host nation Mexico, Italy, and Algeria. To prepare for the tournament, the squad is expected to travel to Ghana for visa processing following recent physical conditioning and medical examinations.
