Liberian officials and Sierra Leone cricket squad make continental announcements

Four Liberian match officials have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Sudan and Ethiopia on September 25. The quartet includes center referee Washington Dolo, assistant referees Joel W. Doe and Thomas N. Konneh, and fourth official Moses B. Johnson.

Additionally, Liberia Football Association First Vice President Prof. Sekou W. Konneh has been designated as the match commissioner for the Ghana vs. Gambia AFCON qualifying match on September 29 in Accra, Ghana.

In cricket, Sierra Leone has announced its 14-man squad for its debut in the ILT20 Africa Continental Cup. The tournament will be held in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 8 to 19, 2026, featuring Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana, and Kenya. Sierra Leone is scheduled to begin its campaign against Kenya.
