Libertad advances to Copa Paraguay quarter-finals

Libertad has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Copa Paraguay after defeating Fernando de la Mora in a penalty shootout. The match, held at the Arsenio Erico stadium in Asunción, ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Gustavo Aguilar scored for Libertad in the 21st minute, but Rodney Chaparro equalized for Fernando de la Mora in the 34th minute. In the decisive penalty shootout, Libertad won 3-2, largely due to a standout performance by goalkeeper Víctor Rojas, who saved three penalties.

In another Copa Paraguay fixture, Atlético Tembetary secured a place in the quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory over Sportivo Iteño. Cristian Mercado and Sebastián Ruiz Díaz provided the goals for Tembetary, who will next face Sol de América.
