Libertas Rari Nantes fields record five swimmers at Rome Italian Championships

The swimming club Libertas Rari Nantes from Perugia will compete at the Italian National Category Championships in Rome from 31 July to 8 August 2026. The club is sending a delegation of five athletes – two boys in the Ragazzi category, a junior, a cadet and a senior – the highest number it has ever entered for the event.

President Massimo Pici expressed pride in the achievement, while coach Alessio Bianchi highlighted the club’s investment in new staff such as mental‑coach, physiotherapists and preparers. The swimmers named include Marco Rossini and Michael Ferracci (Ragazzi), Matilde Rosini (Juniores), Tiziano Governatorini (Cadetti) and Erica Fancello (Senior). The team hopes to showcase the progress made in training and to achieve strong results in the pool at the Foro Italiano.
