Liberty football clinches playoff spot after tiebreaker win

Liberty football secured the final 3A KingCo playoff spot following a 21-3 victory over Inglemoor on October 27. The win came during a three-team tiebreaker tournament at Issaquah High School involving Liberty, Mercer Island, and Inglemoor.

Earlier in the tiebreaker, Mercer Island defeated Liberty 10-7 in overtime to advance to the KingCo championship. In that match, Adam Kiviat secured the win for the Islanders with a 25-yard field goal. Following the loss, Liberty faced Inglemoor for the remaining postseason position.

Liberty's victory ensures their advancement to the postseason, while Mercer Island moves on to face Bellevue in the KingCo Championship.
