Libia García announces 246 million pesos in victim assistance

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo announced that the state government has allocated more than 246.5 million pesos to support crime victims and searching families. This funding, provided through the State Fund for Aid, Assistance, and Integral Reparation, includes food, funeral, medical, legal, housing, and transportation assistance.

Francisco Javier Juárez León, President Commissioner of the State Commission for Integral Victim Assistance, noted that while the fund began the year with a 100 million peso budget, budget increases allowed for the expenditure of 246,506,183 pesos. These funds have facilitated 74,104 individual measures of aid, including over 62,000 food supports and 5,380 transportation services for search operations.

Beyond financial aid, the administration provides psychological and legal accompaniment, as well as opportunities for victims and their families to pursue education, training, and entrepreneurship to rebuild their lives.
