Libraries host storytime programs for children

Local libraries are offering various storytime programs designed to support children's literacy and engagement.

The Richmond Public Library is hosting a “Storytime at Home” series with a monthly theme of spiders. The program includes curated book lists, songs, rhymes, and simple crafts to help children learn about the environmental importance of spiders. Featured titles include “Backyard Bugs” by Jill McDonald-Gomez, “The Eensy-Weensy Spider” by Mary Ann Hoberman, and “The Very Busy Spider” by Eric Carle.

Additionally, multiple neighborhood libraries are hosting baby and toddler storytime sessions. These programs are held at various locations, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Georgetown Neighborhood Library, and several other community branches, offering scheduled times for early childhood reading activities.
