Libraries in Sipoo and Gävle announce schedule changes and renovations

Libraries in Sipoo, Finland, and Gävle, Sweden, are implementing changes to their operating hours and facilities for the upcoming season.

In Sipoo, the main library and Söderkulla library have updated their autumn schedules. The main library offers service from Monday to Thursday, 9:00–20:00, and Friday to Saturday, 9:00–16:00. Söderkulla library has adjusted its service hours and offers extended self-service options. A variety of autumn events are scheduled, including art exhibitions and children's theater.

In Gävle, Sweden, Agnes Kulturhus is extending its weekend hours starting September 1, opening from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays and Sundays to better accommodate residents. Additionally, Valbo library will be closed from August 31 to October 4 for extensive renovations. The project includes installing new flooring, updating color schemes, improving the floor plan, and upgrading the children's section with new seating and an improved environment.
