Library foundations host seasonal book sales

Multiple library foundations are hosting seasonal book sales to raise funds for local library programs and services.

The Lawrence Public Library is holding a fall sale featuring over 60,000 books, CDs, and DVDs. Items are priced between 50 cents and $2. The event includes a members' night on October 8, followed by public sale hours on October 9, 10, and 11.

Similarly, the Richland Library Friends and Foundation is organizing its 2026 Fall Book Sale at the Richland Library Operations Center. The sale offers more than 30,000 gently used items, including books, music, and movies. A private sale for donors is scheduled for October 9, with a public sale following on October 10. These seasonal events collectively raise over $70,000 annually for the library.
