Libreria Riminese in Rimini changes ownership to Librerie.coop

The historic Libreria Riminese in Rimini will be taken over by the cooperative chain Librerie.coop, effective 1 August. The transition follows the departure of long‑time manager Mirco Pecci, who will assist the new manager during the hand‑over. Librerie.coop pledges to preserve the shop’s logo, furnishings, and overall identity, maintaining its role as a cultural hub for the community.

The new owners plan to keep an assortment of around 15,000 titles (over 20,000 volumes) spanning fiction, poetry, non‑fiction and children’s books. The store will continue to host author presentations, reading events and collaborations with schools and local associations. An official inauguration is scheduled for October, when the first cultural programme under the new management will be unveiled.
