Major General Fawzi al-Mansuri, the head of military intelligence for the Libyan National Army, was killed in a car bombing in Benghazi on Monday. The explosion occurred in the Al-Hawari area, specifically near the Sayyida Aisha Mosque, as Mansuri was reportedly entering or exiting his vehicle outside his home.
Security sources confirmed that an explosive device, described by some reports as a homemade device, targeted the vehicle, causing it to catch fire.
