Libya: Armed groups attempt to storm financial oversight institutions in Tripoli
Masked men in military uniforms attempted to storm the headquarters of Libya's financial oversight bodies in Tripoli. Social media footage showed individuals in beige fatigues and helmets at the gates of the Audit Bureau, an agency responsible for safeguarding public funds.

In a related development, the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) condemned an unauthorized entry into its headquarters, where individuals accessed the office of Governor Naji Issa. The CBL held the Defence Ministry responsible for failing to secure the premises and stated it would pursue legal action to protect its official documents and institutional procedures. This incident follows the Libyan Parliament’s provisional acceptance of Governor Issa’s resignation, with board member Fawzi Musbah Abukhzam assigned to temporarily carry out his duties.
