Licata man removed from home following extortion allegations

A 25-year-old man residing in Licata has been ordered to leave his family home and maintain a strict distance from his relatives following allegations of extortion. The Judge for Preliminary Investigations (Gip) of the Agrigento Court issued the precautionary measure after investigations by the Licata Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Agrigento.

According to investigators, the man allegedly subjected his parents and other family members to continuous pressure and heavy threats to obtain money. This behavior created a climate of fear and intimidation within the household. The situation came to light when the family members, exhausted by the escalating aggression, reported the matter to the State Police.

The suspect is considered a serious suspect in the crime of extortion. The judicial order aims to protect the victims and prevent further intimidation.
