Liceo Adria-Ballatore safety concerns rise after window incident

A safety incident at the Liceo Adria-Ballatore in Mazara del Vallo has reignited concerns regarding the deteriorating condition of school infrastructure. A student reported that a window broke and fell on her while she was attempting to open it; fortunately, no injuries were sustained.

The incident has prompted calls for urgent structural inspections and concrete interventions to ensure a safe learning environment. Students are demanding a school complex that is “adequate, safe, and dignified,” emphasizing that studying in a secure facility should not be a privilege.

The local Democratic Party (Pd) has also addressed the situation, noting that the incident highlights long-standing logistical instability and the fragmentation of school sites. They have called on the Libero Consorzio Comunale di Trapani to move beyond announcements and provide a stable, permanent, and safe location for the institute, which has faced structural uncertainty for years.
