Liceo Naval Almirante Guise undergoes management intervention

The Peruvian Ministry of Education (Minedu) has implemented emergency measures at the Liceo Naval Almirante Guise in San Borja following recent allegations involving students. Luis Aleman Nakamine, the Vice Minister of Institutional Management, has assumed the role of acting director under Ministerial Resolution 576-2026-MINEDU.

As part of the intervention, all external activities at the school have been suspended, and the use of school uniforms is optional until this Friday. Aleman Nakamine announced a management audit to gather documented information from all administrative areas, with a specific focus on discipline and the implementation of coexistence protocols.

Vice Minister of Pedagogical Management, Miriam Ponce, will support the institution's pedagogical oversight. Additionally, a committee of parents has requested a meeting with Minedu leadership to discuss administrative details, including teacher profiles, contracts, schedules, and the location of security cameras.
