Licey and Escogido complete player trade in LIDOM

LIDOM baseball trade Tigres del Licey Leones del Escogido Amed Rosario

The Tigres del Licey and Leones del Escogido have completed a player trade within the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

Licey has acquired outfielder Elier Hernández in exchange for infielder Amed Rosario and a fifth-round pick in the 2027 LIDOM Draft. Hernández, 31, brings significant experience from the Mexican Baseball League and previous stints in LIDOM with Gigantes del Cibao and Escogido. He also has Major League Baseball experience with the Texas Rangers.

Escogido's management highlighted the acquisition of Rosario, 30, as a move to add versatility and veteran leadership. Rosario brings ten seasons of MLB experience, including recent play with the New York Yankees, and is capable of playing shortstop, third base, and second base. The trade is intended to strengthen both rosters for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
