Licor 43 boosts premium coffee‑cocktail market in Brazil

Premium cocktail makers are expanding the use of coffee beans to create higher‑value drinks, led by Spanish‑based Zamora Company and its flagship brand Licor 43. The companies are promoting the Carajillo – a mix of espresso and Licor 43 – as a central offering in Brazil’s fast‑growing premium bar scene.

Marketing manager Carina Sena said the strategy stemmed from strong demand in Mexico and was extended to Brazil, where the brand sees the market as a priority for Latin‑American growth. By pairing coffee’s bitter notes with the liqueur’s vanilla‑citrus profile, the drinks aim to attract younger consumers and diversify occasions for liquor consumption. Licor 43 now operates in over 50 countries and is positioning Brazil as a key market for its premium‑mixology expansion.
