Lidija Mojsovska films new short movie in Struga region
Director Lidija Mojsovska has completed filming for her new short live-action film, ‘Everything That Remained Was a Story’ (Sè što ostaše beše prikazna). The production took place at high altitudes on Mount Jablanica, reaching 1,700 meters, as well as in Labuniški Bačila, Struga, and the village of Sloješnica.
Inspired by real events and the fates of people living in the Struga region near the border with Albania, the film features a mix of professional actors and local residents serving as non-professional actors. The production team worked under extreme weather conditions, including strong winds, and utilized approximately 300 sheep as part of the filming process.
The film is produced by Minimal Kolektiv in co-production with Sikonia Film and Contrast Film, with support from the Swiss Government’s ‘Culture for Development’ project. Mojsovska, known for her previous works ‘Nagrada’ and ‘Only the Devil is Afraid of Water’, noted that the project was driven by testimonies of real lives she witnessed in her own community.
