Lidl and Gillette unveil new summer deodorants in Germany and Austria

Lidl’s Cien deodorant line received the top "Sehr gut" rating from Ökotest. The women's Fresh Pink (24 h) and men’s Polar Fresh (24 h) sprays are vegan‑certified, offer proven 24‑hour protection and retail for €0.75 per 200 ml, making them among the cheapest high‑performing deodorants. In the same test, Lidl’s Parkside Flexi garden‑hose set was praised for its low price (€0.57 per metre) and solid performance.

Gillette introduced a Clear Gel antiperspirant, the first transparent formula for men, available in three scents (Cool Wave, Arctic Ice, Aloe). The gel promises up to 72 hours of protection and twice the sweat‑blocking efficacy of conventional sprays. Priced at €5.49, the product launched in mid‑June 2026 in Germany, backed by a partnership with the Audi Revolut F1 team and a "Die Wahl ist klar" marketing campaign.
