Lidl expands into Bosnia and Herzegovina with major logistics hub and mass hiring

Lidl is significantly expanding its presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina through major infrastructure investment and large-scale recruitment. The company is constructing a massive logistics and distribution center in the Azapovići business zone, located in the Kiseljak municipality. This facility, representing an investment of over 100 million euros, covers approximately 250,000 square meters, with 60,000 square meters of warehouse space. The center will feature 40,000 pallet positions, 120 loading ramps, and five distinct temperature zones, including a specialized zone for chocolate products. To optimize operations, the facility will utilize advanced 'pick-by-voice' technology.

In conjunction with this infrastructure, Lidl has launched a major hiring campaign to staff its upcoming retail network. The company is seeking more than 1,000 sales assistants across more than 20 cities and municipalities throughout the country. Employment terms highlighted by the company include permanent contracts from the first day, electronic tracking of all working minutes to ensure accurate pay, and structured training programs with mentor support. The logistics center itself is expected to create over 200 jobs.
