Lidl expands digital loyalty tools in Spain and Germany
Lidl has introduced a new "Lidl Points" rewards program in Spain, allowing shoppers to earn one point for every euro spent in stores and redeem points for discounts or free products from 1 July 2026. The feature is integrated into the existing Lidl Plus app and offers more than 400 reward options.
In Germany, Lidl is testing a digital stamp card in the Lidl Plus app from 6 to 19 July 2026. Customers receive a digital stamp for each €5 spent on fruit or vegetables; five stamps unlock a 20 % discount coupon for the entire fruit‑and‑vegetable range. Participation requires the app, German residency, and a minimum age of 18, with a limit of two coupons per shopper.
Separately, UK supermarket chain Morrisons reported that its 100th store now uses digital shelf‑edge labels supplied by Vusion. The rollout eliminates manual paper updates, adds a "Pick to Light" system that guides online pickers, and is intended to improve operational efficiency and the in‑store customer experience.
