Lidl expands to 29 cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, adds stores in Mostar, Prijedor and Cazin

German retailer Lidl is rapidly building a network of future supermarkets across Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to recent unofficial information from BiznisInfo.ba, the company is preparing new stores in Prijedor and Cazin and a second outlet in the southern part of Mostar, bringing the number of towns linked to Lidl to 27 currently.

Confirmed projects also include markets in the Vitez business zone, Čapljina, and Sarajevo’s Koševo neighbourhood, as well as ongoing sites in Kaknj, Zvornik, Gradiška, Bihać, Livno, East Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Gračanica, Trebinje, Bijeljina, Doboj, Zenica, Brčko, Modriča, Laktaši, Travnik, Sarajevo, Tešanj, Kiseljak, Čitluk, Živinice, Prnjavor and others. Unofficially, additional openings are being discussed for Široki Brijeg and Sanski Most, potentially raising the total to 29 cities. The German chain plans to start operations next year, with collaboration from local contractor MT Projekt on projects in Kiseljak and Čapljina.
