Lidl invests over 100 million DKK in Danish store redesign
Lidl Danmark has launched a major rollout of a new store concept across its Danish locations, involving an investment of over 100 million DKK. The initiative aims to redesign all existing stores over the next two to four years to optimize space and create a more uniform shopping environment.
The new layout features an expanded fruit and vegetable section designed as an open market at the entrance, alongside increased space for everyday low-price products. The redesign also includes improved signage and more shelf space to accommodate a wider variety of goods. Following successful testing, the first redesigned store opened in Holbæk on September 27.
During the renovation process, individual stores will be fully closed. Lidl currently operates more than 170 stores in Denmark and has set a long-term goal of exceeding 200 locations.
