Lidl Ireland launches Lidl Connect mobile service

Lidl Ireland is entering the mobile telecommunications market with the launch of Lidl Connect, starting Monday, October 5th. The service is being delivered through partner 1Global and will operate using the Eir network.

As an introductory offer, the first 100,000 customers can access a ‘Price for Life’ plan at €8.99 per month. Once this limit is reached, the monthly cost will increase to €12.99. The plan features a monthly rolling contract with no long-term commitment and includes unlimited 5G data, unlimited calls and texts to Irish and UK networks, 50GB of EU and UK roaming data, and 100 international minutes to over 38 countries.

Management of the service will be handled exclusively through the Lidl Plus app, where users can sign up for an eSIM or arrange to pick up a physical SIM card at any Lidl store for €0.99. Customers switching to the service have the option to retain their existing mobile numbers.
