Lidl issues nationwide recalls for bratwurst and chocolate strawberries

Lidl is conducting nationwide product recalls in Germany for several items due to safety concerns.

SB-Convenience GmbH has recalled two varieties of Metzgerfrisch brand bratwurst. The products may contain red plastic foreign bodies, posing a risk of injury to the mouth, throat, esophagus, or gastrointestinal tract. The affected product includes Metzgerfrisch Frische Grobe Bratwurst with a best-before date of 15.09.2026.

Additionally, Victoria Nuts Ltd. is recalling ‘Deluxe Erdbeeren in weißer Schokolade’ (120g) sold at Lidl. Testing revealed pesticide levels of chlorpyrifos exceeding legal limits. Affected batches include 12 L160426-1 and 13 L160426-1 with a best-before date of 16.04.2027.

Consumers are advised not to consume these products and to return them to Lidl stores for a refund, even without a receipt.
