Lidl launches €8 Esmara sandals resembling Birkenstock

Starting on 3 August, Lidl stores in Italy began offering the Esmara women's sandals for €7.99. The shoes copy the iconic Birkenstock Arizona silhouette, featuring adjustable straps, a synthetic upper, an EVA lightweight sole and an anatomically shaped footbed. They are sold in two colours – gold and brown – and sized from 36 to 41.

The sandals are available both in Lidl’s physical outlets and through its online shop, though stock varies by location. At €7.99 they cost a fraction of the €63.95 price of genuine Birkenstock models and are positioned as an affordable, everyday‑summer option.
