Lidl offers Tronic Smart Tag Finder as Apple AirTag alternative

Lidl is offering the Tronic Smart Tag Finder, a low-cost Bluetooth tracker designed as an alternative to Apple AirTags. The device is compatible with both Apple’s ‘Find My’ network and Google’s ‘Find Hub’ ecosystem, making it functional for both iOS and Android users.

Available in multi-packs, the trackers are intended for locating items such as keys, wallets, and backpacks. While they support standard Bluetooth tracking within a range of approximately 10 meters, they lack Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, meaning they do not support the high-precision proximity searching found in more expensive models.

The hardware features an IPX5 water-resistance rating and includes a protective case and a CR2032 battery, which provides an estimated standby time of eight months. The device measures roughly 3.7 x 3.7 x 0.7 cm and includes a loop for attachment.
