Lidl Polska extends deposit voucher validity to 100 days

Lidl Polska has announced changes to its deposit system for beverage containers. Starting in October, the validity period for deposit vouchers issued by in-store bottle return machines will be extended from 30 days to 100 days. The company stated this move is intended to increase customer convenience, despite noting that most customers currently redeem their vouchers on the same day they are issued.

In terms of recycling volume, the retailer reported a significant milestone in Bielsko-Biała, where a single customer received a voucher worth 722.50 PLN for returning cans and bottles in August. Since the launch of its collection program, Lidl customers have returned over 1.2 billion plastic bottles and metal cans, with more than 950 million of those being subject to the deposit system.
